VTS BURGAS

PROCEDURE:

  1. A mandatory reporting system to Coast Centre Burgas exists. The reporting is mandatory for the following type of ships:
    a. All ships with gross tonnage of 300 or larger;
    b. All ships carrying 12 or more passengers on board;
    c. All ships carrying dangerous or pollution cargo;
    d. All ships having length larger than 24m;
    e. All fishing ships having length larger than 15m;
  2. The communication language is Bulgarian or English according to the IMO Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP).
  3. Ships completed report should contain the following information:
    IMO SRS Items: A, B, C or D, E , F, G, I, L, O, P, Q, T, U and W;
  4. When passing through the operation area of Coast Centre Burgas, stay at anchorage or wait for staying at anchorage, all ships should maintain a continuous radio watch on VHF Channel 16th and other indicated frequences;
  5. Instructions and recommendations by the Coast Centre do not take out of responsibility the ship masters for safety navigation.

 

 

REPORTS:

  1. A report when entering the area: All ships entering the area of the Coast Centre Burgas /Reporting Line 1 should report to the Coast Centre Burgas according to IMO SRS Item: A completed report using VHF, AIS, etc.
  2. A report when leaving the area: All ships leaving the area of the Coast Centre Burgas /Reporting Line 1 should report to the Coast Centre Burgas according to IMO SRS Item: ALFA, BRAVO and CHARLY using VHF, AIS, etc.
  3. A report when entering/leaving an area: All ships crossing Reporting line 2 should report to the Coast Centre Burgas according to IMO SRS Item: ALFA, BRAVO, CHARLY.
  4. Report on arrival: All ships arriving the ports areas or anchorages should report to the Coast Centre Burgas according to IMO SRS Item: ALFA, BRAVO и CHARLY.
  5. Report on leaving: All ships should have a sailing permission by the Coast Centre Burgas, at least 5 minutes earlier, before unmooring or leaving the anchorages. Ships should report to the Coast Centre Burgas according to IMO SRS Item: ALFA, BRAVO, CHARLY.
  6. Other reports: All ships should report on any cases concerning safety at sea or environment or when a report is required by the Coast Centre Burgas.
